The year before this, however, had been pubÂlished two other successful songs, "The Jolly Sailor" and "Like Stars Above." Squire had the words of the latter for over a year, and in the meanwhile some other composer had used them under another title. The latter's setting was not very well known, and Squire persuaded the comÂposer to sell him the copyright of the words on condition that he published the song under a different name.
